Chris

Host

Meet Chris!

What is the best part about being a trivia host?
The best part about being a trivia host is getting to have fun with the players. Y’all, bring on the banter!

What is the best piece of hosting advice you have ever received?
The best piece of hosting advice I’ve received is to enunciate when I’m talking on the mic. Normally, I speak really quickly, but I’ve found that I really need to take the time to make sure the audience can understand what I’m saying. That won’t stop me from mispronouncing words from time to time. Again, feel free to make fun if you catch me mispronouncing something.

What is a skill, hobby, or passion you have outside of hosting?
I love video games! I mostly play games on my phone or my Switch.

What is your go-to coffee order, drink order, or favorite snack?
My go-to coffee order is a cup of black coffee. The stronger, the better!

What was your very first job?
My first job was being a cashier at a grocery store. Not to brag, but I’m a whiz at self-checkout because I have most of those produce codes memorized.

What was your favorite childhood cartoon?
Rocket Power!

If you had a time machine that only worked once, would you visit the past or the future?
I’d go back in time to see some lost loved ones.

If you taught a 45-minute class at CNP University, what would you be the professor of?
During the day, I help run a diagnostic laboratory, so something math- or science-related.

If you had to choose an animal sidekick that speaks fluent English, what animal would you choose?
I’d pick a talking polar bear to be my sidekick! Since they’d be my sidekick, I wouldn’t have to worry about them wanting to eat me.

What theme trivia would you absolutely come in last place at?
I would come in last place at Friends trivia. I love the show but haven’t watched nearly enough of it to be good at a game of trivia.

If our trivia company was stranded on a deserted island, which host do you think would survive the longest?
*Raises hand* That’d be me! My dad was a nature survivalist, and he shared a lot of his knowledge with my siblings and me about how to get by in nature. Plus, I lived in Hawaii for a few years and would be thrilled to be on a deserted island!
