Geoff
Host

Meet Geoff!
What is the best part about being a trivia host?
Getting to have fun at work, talking with people, learning new things, and making friendships with my regular teams.
What is the best piece of hosting advice you have ever received?
If you mess up, own it. No one will remember it, and if you make a joke about it instead of getting embarrassed, you’ll keep moving forward.
What is a skill, hobby, or passion you have outside of hosting?
Collecting comics, playing video games, building giant LEGO projects, and traveling.
What is your go-to coffee order, drink order, or favorite snack?
Coffee is black. Hot or iced, black. My favorite snack is anything cheese-based, specifically fried cheese. That is mana from the heavens.
What is a book, podcast, TV show, or movie you are always recommending to people?
Podcast: Stuff You Should Know.
If you were a professional wrestler, what would your character name be and what would your entrance theme song be?
Lord Factoid, AKA “The Fact Checker.” Finishing move: The Bonus Question. Theme song: “No Shelter” by Rage Against the Machine.
If your life was a movie, what genre would it be, and who would play you?
Comedy, definitely. Anyone who knows me will agree. I would love to have Paul Rudd play me. I think he would be great.
What is one business buzzword or phrase you absolutely cannot stand?
“Looks like I get to give you some time back.” No, you don’t, Deborah. The meeting ended early, and it probably shouldn’t have been a meeting anyway.
What was your very first job?
I wrote for the teen section of the Reading Eagle called Voices, starting when I was 12, and I worked for the local pizza shop when I was 13.
What was your favorite childhood cartoon?
Transformers and Captain N: The Game Master.
If you had a time machine that only worked once, would you visit the past or the future?
The past. Definitely. Looking around, I don’t know if there is a future, and if there is, do I want to see it?
If you taught a 45-minute class at CNP University, what would you be the professor of?
Sarcasm, focusing on pop culture references.
If you had to choose an animal sidekick that speaks fluent English, what animal would you choose?
My puggle, Buster. Although I’ve given him a voice and often speak as him so much that he knows his own voice now. I’m not weird, YOU’RE WEIRD!
If you could only eat one specific meal from the CNP cafeteria for the rest of your life, what would you be eating?
Pizza. It’s a loophole because you can put anything on it.
What theme trivia would you absolutely come in last place at?
Gilmore Girls, Taylor Swift, or loom weaving.
If our trivia company was stranded on a deserted island, which host do you think would survive the longest?
Alexis Neel. She’s scrappy and smart. She will literally run circles around everyone else and be able to think of fun, inventive new ways to survive. I’ve gotta give a shoutout to our manager, Josh, though. He keeps this overstuffed clown car running relatively smoothly, so I think he would give any of us a run for our money!
