Getting to meet people, be a fun part of their evening, and share my love of trivia and learning!

What is the best piece of hosting advice you have ever received?
Have fun! People are here to have a good time!

What is a skill, hobby, or passion you have outside of hosting?
I love to go fishing. Being out on the water soothes my soul. I wonder if it’s because I’m a Pisces?

What is your go-to coffee order, drink order, or favorite snack?
I love a good peach tea or cherry limeade. But if it’s been a day, then definitely a Long Island iced tea. I tried making them myself once. Word to the wise… if you get the first one wrong, the ones that follow will never be right.

What is a book, podcast, TV show, or movie you are always recommending to people?
“The History of Swear Words” on Netflix! It’s funny because it’s about swear words, but it’s also a fascinating look at how language evolves and reflects society.

What was your very first job?
My very first job was serving ice cream at “Carousel Cone” in Hersheypark. I had a blast working there! It was as much fun as hosting trivia, but with ice cream!

If you had a time machine that only worked once, would you visit the past or the future?
I would definitely visit the past. I’d go back and tell myself not to make that first Long Island. That went off the rails in a hurry.

If you taught a 45-minute class at CNP University, what would you be the professor of?

If you could only eat one specific meal from the CNP cafeteria for the rest of your life, what would you be eating?
Lowcountry boil for sure! Summertime cooking at its best!

What theme trivia would you absolutely come in last place at?
I would be absolutely terrible at Star Wars trivia! Too many prequels and sequels that I have not seen. Now, Harry Potter, on the other hand? Expecto Successum!

If our trivia company was stranded on a deserted island, which host do you think would survive the longest?
I have to say, I think I’d have a pretty good shot at assuring everyone’s survival. How, you might ask? Twenty-five years of preparation as a fifth-grade teacher. It’s basically the same thing… unpredictable wildlife, limited supplies, and everyone is one snack away from a meltdown.
